Cupping Therapy

Description

Fire cupping is a traditional healing practice used for centuries in Chinese medicine and other cultures around the world. It involves placing glass cups on the skin and using heat to create suction. A flame is briefly inserted into the cup to remove the oxygen, and once the cup is placed on the body , typically on the back, shoulders, legs or neck it creates a vacuum that gently pulls the skin upward. This suction is believed to stimulate blood circulation, loosen tight muscles, reduce inflammation, and help the body release built-up toxins and stagnant energy.

People commonly use fire cupping to treat a variety of conditions, including chronic pain, tension, colds, respiratory issues, and emotional stress.  After treatment, circular red or purple marks may appear where the cups were placed, these are not bruises, but signs of blood being drawn to the surface, and they usually fade within a few days. While it may look intense,  many people report feeling lighter, more energized, and deeply relaxed after a session.
